Reverend Earl Perrin Jr.

Rev Rev Earl Perrin, Jr. served on the Buffalo Police Dept (Buffalo NY) for 24 Years before retiring Jan. 2017. He served as a Police officer for 8 years before becoming the head of the City’s Gang Unit. Four years later he joined the BPD SWAT team where Rev Perrin served for 12 years on the BPD SWAT team as a Sniper and Team leader until retirement.  Additionally, he served as the lead Detective in Police Depts. Intelligence Unit which he reinstated to serve as a proactive investigative unit which focused on gun violence, illegal firearm sales, and gangs. Additionally, as an officer and Det Rev Perrin who is a DOJ NYS Certified Instructor & currently works Part Time as Police Recruit Instructor at the Erie County (Central Police Services) Police Academy. He is a huge advocate for safety and routinely teaches active shooter training for churches and other community facilities.

After the May 14th, 2022, the mass shooting at Tops on Jefferson in Buffalo NY., Perrin and a group of coworkers established the Lieutenant Aaron Salter memorial scholarship in May, of 2022, of which, he is the President & Chairmen. Since its inception his nonprofit has distributed $50,000 worth of scholarships to city of Buffalo students.  Additionally, after the Jacksonville shooting which occurred in September of 2023 this year, he arranged a service at Delaine Waring called standing in solidarity Against Hate where all the local elected officials from the governor's office, down to the local councilman attended. Over 100 other community and victims' family members of the Tops shooting attended to stand up against Hate and exemplify the Love that Our God advocates.

          Rev Earl Perrin Jr. has always enjoyed teaching Sunday School which he has led for over 15 years. He has assisted all the prior Pastors in their duties at DWAME, in whatever means he could support. His works did not go unnoticed because after completing his final year of the WNY AME ministerial Institute he was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church WNY District in 2023 by, Bishop Julius H. McCallister Sr. He was immediately installed as the Pastor at Delaine Waring AME church where he vowed to conduct a salvation station and social reform HQ which is what the founders of DWAMEC lived their lives exemplifying. He states that he often feels as though he went from saving lives to Saving Souls. Rev Perrins favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11., “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
